Computer Training Centre Launched at Pehli Kiran School 5

Pehli Kiran Schools (PKS) is pleased to announce the launch of its first Computer Training Center at Pehli Kiran School 5 (PK-5). This exciting initiative is a first step towards spreading computer literacy among the most deserving PKS students, PKS Alumni, and other community youth, who would otherwise be deprived of this essential skill. Computer literacy is critical for future employability and livelihoods for the youth of today. The event was attended by several guests, PKS management, staff, and students. Ms. Seema Tauseef, representing the Islamabad District Commissioner’s Office, donated computers, furniture, and other useful items needed for the Computer Centre. Ms. Tahira Abdullah and Mr. Mohsin Qazi, Trustees on the Board of the JAQ Education Trust, spoke about the importance of the newly established Centre in enhancing the lives of the community youth. Ajab Gul and Kinza – two recently enrolled students at the Centre – shared their excitement at starting their computer course.

Pehli Kiran Schools develops bridges for marginalized, neglected, out-of-school children by providing free quality education and recognizes that the computer literacy gap is a major obstacle to advancing in society. Addressing this issue helps to better mainstream these children, and enhance their employability, as computer technology is an essential skill for almost every job.
